Singapore Sling
And the cocktail odyssey continues with a Singapore Sling. Very close to a Mai Tai, but with pineapple. This recipe is mostly liquor, but it's actually really smooth.

Mai Tai
Jimi finally found a good used car to replace his broken down Honda. To celebrate, I sent him off to work and then promptly made myself a Mai Tai. Dang, this recipe is strong... even for me. I had to add a little more orange juice and grenadine. Otherwise, it's a killer mix.

Chinese Night
The huge Asian complex Chinatown Center is just a few of blocks away from us. As we've posted before, we love getting live dungeness crab from the place, but we also really dig checking out the bizarre (at least by western standards) food selection. This week we purchased...
Chinese Hickory Nuts (Sprinkled with salt, sugar and spices, these would be great in a salad. Thumbs up!)

Coconut Mooncake (Meh. I like the lotus root version much better.)

Live crab!
